How about  a solid color, streetable RACE SHOP GHIA,,,before  the  repaint...

So what is the story behind this picture? Is that a race shop ghia replica? Thanks for sharing.

not sure ,,,i had someone say it is (was)the RSG,,,pics looks from the 80's (by looking at the cars in background),,look at  the lights, hood pins,,glass, how the Tach sits, rear fenders,chop,,etc...IAM NOT SAYING IT IS (don't get mad at me, please Grin)..me personally  i thought the RSG had the orginal paint still, applied by "MacPeak"from the 70's.?..maybe someone can clear the air on this...if it's not THE  RACE SHOP GHIA it's   damn close......was it  repainted,?i do not know the history on the painting  of this historic  race car..

I am almost positive it is not the race shop ghia, but just thought I would ask. I do not want to seem like a know it all Grin I took a pic of the race shop ghia at bug in 32 and it was still wearing its original racing paint scheme. Mr. Russell Ritchie now owns the car if im correct.

I would bet that the orange car is the RSG. The chop is very distinctive and many other details indicate that this car is the RSG.

And, as we said, no post without a picture. Here is the Inch Pincher again:

One for the night owls (or the americans  Cheesy)

What I especially like about these old pictures are the cars and people in the background. In the second picture of Lightning Bug you can see a wing, wheel and door of the Andersons car to the right. And in the background in the right upper corner you can spot a baywindow that seems to be a car of OCIR...

In this picture you can see even more of the Andersons bug:

And behind the Anderson Bros bug is another chop top - was it Baby Huey that had those very sharp rear corners to the back windows?
