Of course we got snow. It would not be a real winter without and it is a must to really appreciate the spring. The more - the better! Excellent conditions up in the mountains for skiing.

Snow don't bother me, the only boring thing is to not drive the Beetle because of dirt and salt on the road.

Another point of view;
Snow sucks, trucks are prohibited from highways => I'm out of stock from petrol and gasoil.
It's really hard to drive with heavy trucks on secondary roads and really dangerous. It took me twice my normal time to do my delivery tour yesterday. And today is even more difficult  Embarrassed Embarrassed
I also spend 3 hours yesterday night to remove 10cm of ice from our warehouse yard with a tractor, it became quite impossible for semi trailers to go out.

When I'm stuck or to climb an icy road. But it's not good to keep them all time or when there isn't enough snow on the road.
We have buy a new truck with automatic snow chain. I will test them next winter

When I was a kid my dad drove a gravel truck and some of the trucks in the gravel pit had these, making 6x4 out of 6x2.. Cannot remember were they any good in snow, but used when stuck in mud.

Surprise surprise, there is snow in winter  Shocked How shocking.

Exactly. I hate salt. They use tons of it here.  I regret not driving a Beetle in the winter anymore. Especially that my winter car is front wheel drive.
What I hate the most is when the snow is melting down and everything is covered with black, salty mud.

Yep and another thing I'm scared of are other people that don't drive correctly on the snow.

Sometimes I think about getting another beetle for the winter. Add 4 thin studded tires and you can go everywhere,anytime. And it would start even at -20°C.

It was fun listening to the radio today. A guy working at the Vaernes airport (small airport in Norway) said it would have taken them 30 minutes to clear the runway at Heathrow  Smiley
