What was your best VW find for the year 2009 list your favorite one and where did you find it. Mine was a set of 40 HP fairly new with rocker arm square boss witll all of the valves. And another February 1974 Hot VW magazine issue at a yard sale for 0.50 cents when she told me 50 I was thinking $50.00. Lets see yours. Thanks Frenchy

I stumbled on a nice '78 Westfalia last month at the pick-n-pull and I ransacked it for a on of parts for my '76 panel bus. The best part I got was the clock for $5.00!

my late RHD European 66, push button handles, original motor, original tranny, repainted once in light blue colour, not the best condition, but good enough for me, unmolested, original floors, need minor welding.
oh yea and a Hurst shifter from a local wreck shop for USD22.

I just found the last german ts switch for my 66 through my (NAPA) believe it or not. It came from the manufacturer`s warehouse in Virginia. It came from Echlin/Standard but in the box is a german SWF switch. My cost.... $55.00. Sweet.

My Best find, was actually a rediscovery.. I'm always moving boxes of stuff from one place to another around the house. So I just happened to move a rather plain ordinary brown cardboard box from the shelf the other day and what I thought was a box of teaching resources, turned out to be a set of Empi GTV Rear Lamp Units...

we have 24 SWF's in stock and 96 more coming from them, so they're still out there. Good price though. 141953517F

I've had a 20 year absense from the hobby, so this was my "first" and "best" for '09, which has to be the '66 I found this past spring. Got it from "Crazy" Joe Kossky in Whittier. He had just picked it up from the original owner, one of his old customers. It was sold at Bozzani Motors in Monrovia Ca, and it came with one original plate frame on the front. Run down and faded a little but solid with no rust, all there and unmolested. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I do know that its better than than the repop I bought for my old 63.

i went to Napa today to get a K&N oil filter, HP 3001, and couple boxes of NGK plugs, remembered yr post, so i asked them if they have any signal switch for my 66, mine is broken and they told me they can order for me for USD130 brand new ..probably a repro...LOL
