The drive through Santiago Canyon was cool (revving the crowd at Cook's is like swatting a hornet's nest with a two by four ).  We got to Jamboree and said good by to Sadler before making a right for the drive through Villa Park.  While waiting to turn left in front of Irvine Park, a nice Chevelle pulled along side of us and we all squirted around the corner together with the Chevy getting pinned in by traffic.  Of course there was lots of revved motors.... to the point of Ben losing his fan belt.  I was leading, Jay, Ben and Dustin were back when Ben finally noticed his alternator light was on.  Dustin stopped to help Ben and Jay and I stopped a hundred yards up the road before swinging  U-Turns to see what was up.  Out of nowhere, two motorcycle cops bust Jay and I for illegal U-Turns!!   Merryf%$kinchristmas.....

that sucks!  you'd think the cops would show a little compassion since there was a break down.  but then again, they never miss the opportunity to bring in revenue.

meanwihile there were probably 62 Escalades going 94mph in the slow lane on the 5 freeway in Norwalk, 44 BMW's swerving in and out of 4 lanes with no turn signal on the 605 in Whittier and a train of cars running the red light @ Topanga and Plummer in Chatsworth.

after doing my training course in compton , i realised a black rangerover with tints and 19" chromies just isnt street enough for me !!!

...it must be a South Orange County thing.  There are 6 of these within a mile of my home, all driven by moms of families with young kids.... and we don't use special slang or sign language other than the friendly open handed wave as we pass each other in the school carpool lane.  OK, I'm entertained..... but I'll keep driving her the way she is : )
