Hello Loungers my plan is to build a full automatic race tranny for myself and my friend as in the pizzo bros car

do any of you guys have info about it because i cant find it on the net
my plan is to use a 010 bus type 2 tranny whit the internals and planets from a audi 5000 and a modifyed chevy stall converter.
as the tranny was designd by borg warner it should be doable if it comes on the HP friction parts

Thanks Henri.

VEry long thread on shoptalkforums.

Seems the plan you have in mind is possible as they say the gearsection of an audi 5000 turbo fits the diffsection of the automatic vw trans.
Addapting a torqueconverter is possible too by the right people. Don't know about the transbrake.

Now go and build that thing  Wink

just trying to help. I love it when peaple do things a little bit different. Most people in the vw world are stuck in a box.
Your plans don't fit in any box and I love that.

Good luck finding time, I know it isn't easy, other things in life are more inportant sometimes.

Excellent!
I have missed that thread even though I am very much interested in the topic and been on STF for so long.
I guess the thread is older than me coming on to it.
Thanks anyway!
