The picture of the lightin bug at OCIR is a moment I will never forget I was in the DDS van with Ken half way down the track going to pick up Dean at the other end when the crash occured me and Ken were the first ones to the car. Talk about fate as I remember they took the roll cage (only a shoulder high cage) out of the car the week before to replace it with a new over the head style, if they didn't it most llikely would have pinned Mark's head between the roll bar and the roof. insteed it broke the seat loose and tossed him under the dash.

Wow do these shots bring back memories.  The patented BERG Wheelstanding machines. Doug,  I remember your shot well!

Clyde, what Sears Point event was this picture taken at?  Was this when we towed Dean Lowry's new chop to Sears Point to test and tune? Mike Fischer and I were up at this same event if I remember right.

The one thing that stood out in my mind at this event was Mitch Evensen showing me how he had just made a pass on a BUGPACK Chinese crank and the tach memory showed he twisted it to 10,300 RPMS.  If you ever saw how much Mitch lightened his cranks...it was miraculous it could spin that high!

Great shots of some very ICONIC second generation VW drag cars.
