Did anybody tried Corvair pushrod mod? Corvair, a flat six cylinder, has a tiny hole in each hollow pushrod at the head end, right under the pushrod tip, to promote oiling of the rockers:

and another curious question:
anybody tried piston pin pressure oiling? Small hole has to be drilled or EDMed through the length of the rod and through main bearing+piston pin bushing to deliver pressurized oil directly to the piston pin. I know Mr. Pauter offer this as extra option for his rods.
Would it be advisable to perform this mod on my H-beams?

Jan, your photo of the first post has gone. Would care to elaborate as to what these mods entail?

Does the pushrod not rotate, so that you end up with the oil spraying the wrong direction?

I was looking at a 2.0 jetta engine last weekend that came that way from the factory. If there is enough "meat" in the rod, I think it's a good idea.

How cool is that!
I also thought about rotation but its probably not that critical, just helping and when all 4 have it, one is bound to spray in the right direction.
Your oil pump must have the extra capacity to pump that extra.

maybe drill it directional, and it will spray more onto the casting.. nice mod though.
