They're never done till they're sold

Hi,

I'm currently sending emails with a guy that says he has a set of 90mm pistons and barrels, he thinks they're mahle.
But he's sure they're not 90.5mm

So i was wondering, how can i get him to check whether they are NPR's?

AND they're slightly used, but would they still make for a nice combo? I kind of fancy the 1756cc by Frenchy:
DMS 69mm c/w crank, NPR 90mm pistons, stock rods, Engle 120 cam, 42 x 37 heads w/stainless steel manley valves, dual springs w/chromoly retainers by Steve Tims, 48 ida's on Skatrak manifolds, melling oil pump w/berg cover, Scat 2qt sump and valve covers, Berg linkage and traction bar, 010 dist, Total seal rings, 8.5:1 c/r. Full-flow system w/HP1, Phoenix 1 5/8 merged header w/super turbo muffler

The Barrels are 88mm bored to 90mm, en the pistons are from a motorcylcle. I think..
But if the doesnt know anything about the pistons, what can he tell you about the engine?? Huh

I think the 90's were only made by NPR. Make sure they are for stock stroke, or stroker.

Got a reply off the guy, he reckons he saw Mahle engraved inside the pistons, and he said it might be a measurement error.  Roll Eyes

He's asking 150 EUR for a lightly used set, is it worth checking out? Perhaps hone the barrels and use new rings?
Keep in mind that a nice p&c set costs quite a bit more around here then they do in the states.
