Well, according to the judges at the Grand national roadster Show. Me? I think it's cr*p, and so does most of the HAMB forum!

God that thing is fugly. I like the HAMB pick better. Much more my style. Its car's like this that have pretty much stopped me from attending Goodguys events. They all look the same. Though I guess the same could be said of Cal-lookers a few years ago. Thankfully we seem to be seeing more originality lately.

HAMB's pick for AMBR:

One of these days i will get around to doing a track style T or A with flathead power.

Buick's Vent-a-ports seem to be a big thing in America's cars today.  I see that this example is also wearing them.  Lets see a four holer would mean it is a "Roadmaster"  Wink Wink Wink

A straight eight, or even a nailhead, in that thing might actually make it interesting.

For sure they spent a lot of time and money for this "BlingBlingRide" but this wouldn´t be my first choice for AMBR.

The HAMBs´choice is good to me!!!  Shocked

The HAMB pick is exactly what a roadster's supposed to be: beautiful in its simplicity.

There was a TV show about how they judge at these big American shows... but I can't remember they ever considered style or purpose...
I love to see good craftmanship... but I hate bling, luckily I can see beyond bling... it actually helps a lot!

That's an old car from the 70's that's been redone isn't it? I have an old black and white photo of it from back the day, it's the one on the left.
Sorry, scratch that, I confused the front grille with Jimmy Hill's chin!

Where did he get her? Gargoyle's are us?

I heard they had a poster of the Roadster on the wall in the shop and when they saw it the other gargoyles all did this!

Looking at that car turned them to stone - so, be warned!

Thank you. My thoughts, exactly. That thing in the first picture is just horrible. Looks like a girl trying way to hard to get noticed at the prom. A proper roadster is much like Cal Look... less is more. Making understatements throughout the car, but keeping everything sanitary is the key.

If you look in the march issue of street rodder there is a car alan johnson and wife built, REAL nice! It almost looked better in the raw, And kind of the way they should be built.
