Probably far less for either car , I am thinking between 25k to 40k. If they were famous it would be different. I would probably take the Chrysler powered car over the Buick, much more servicable & easier to get parts for. I would'nt kick either one of them out of the driveway though.  Bill

I remember reading Custom Car magazines guide to building a slingshot and I always remember the axle advice - it's better to choose an axle where the gears are loaded in from the front, because when the axle lets go the gears try to come out the same way as they went in! Shocked Wink

Great... another eGay ad typed in all upper case letters. I agree with Bill... those sellers will be lucky to get even that much. More, if they were famous.

Bill, I think we should buy it and drive it around the neighborhood, if it turns corners.

I've been watching both items before Keith started this thread...  Wink

I'd prefer the Chrysler too. If I only got the money... Maybe one day  Roll Eyes

I guess the Olds will sell for less than 40k, The 354 Hemi will be less than 25k (it's a bone stock engine...)

They are still out there...

I went back & read the 1st one that Keith posted & it has an Olds, for some reason I thought it had a Buick... I had a slingshot in the late 80's along with Greg Booras. It was a late 60's Jim Davis car, about 160" wb. We bought it less drivetrain, but we were young & had no money, so it never went anywhere, it just hung around the shop. It was running in the late 70's as a Top Alcohol car w/ a blown sbc as the "Warsaw Express" owned by Joe Nowocinski. Kay Sissel of 6 cylinder fame bought it from us  & put one of his Chevy 6's in it. I have seen it @ the Nostalgia Drags here & there, it is cool to see it still going.  60's slingshots are the coolest, meanest looking race cars ever...
