Need some advice regarding my cobustion chambers, heads are comp eliminators cc is to low ned more cc so im going to make them bigger, engine is a 2332 turbo.

how much can i take?



Took some edges away and rounded up a little bit but i think i need a lot more




If some one have any tips just let me know....

Increase the volume by boring out the pistons in the middle like type four pistons. should add 10cc. You can also make the combustionchamber into a semi hemi to increase volume. What cc are you aiming at?

Pistons are already dished about 5cc,  cylinderheads is 43cc  with a 0.060 copperhead gasket we are going to have a 8.5:1 compression so if we can make the chambers to something like 50cc it would be enough.

VERY LIGHT semi-hemi?
Then you could open the piston cut to the same size to maximize 'quench'.

11cc actually,so with 43cc in head and .060 deck height you have  10.0/1

You need to get 67cc total with your .060 quoted deck height and you only have 54cc at the moment,that is going to take alot of work,with 0.100 deck height you only need 60cc total but finding another 6cc will take some clever chamber work,or a semi hemi cut as was mentioned

Your never going to get there with opening up the chamber, not enough material to remove. Add more dish to the piston and if you have to go with .080-.100 deck. It will still run good.

You are so right we are going to do excatly so but though that it might be a good idea to soften up the chambers as much as i possible can w/o doing damage to the heads
i have also realized that a cylinderhead guru might be able to do some magic to them but for the moment i cant afford to do it any other way then to try myself,good hints on the way is always appriciated. Smiley deckheight will be around 3.5mm

you can put a dish shape into them,about 7cc in a mahle 94mm is safe and about 11cc in a wiseco 94mm piston is also safe but the shape of the dish is quite important to keep the strength

Measure the thickness on the dome before cutting too much.

i had the same issue. Although i went to an engineering shop and the said they could cut a tube (same as a gasket bore)  then machine the head with a groove around the outside where the hg would fit and make the tube as long as required for what compression i was going to run...ended up deciding to run a bit more deck and thick hg's. in the end im running 7.4cr

if you machine the pistons with a dome of 84mm 2mm deep (on 94s) you get yourself almost 11ccs this was also a thought of mine but thought the piston might be too thin? on stroker bs?

have you thought about taking the centers out a bit more on a mill? leaving the step for the barrel and taking down the flat face. you could gain a few more ccs that way?
