It was sorted out.  Once the started was addressed, he had to drive the additional 4,300 miles regardless of getting the axe.  The car apparently ran flawlessly from there on out.  Part of being on that show, is you still participate in the challenges even after the fact, you still drive the entire course, and you can become elligible for a come back.  I heard this today, however I don't believe the "come back" has been talked about yet.  He has already been invited to an "All-Stars" event.  BTW.......he's the only car that turned his car off in that challenge.  Its' sue to a security issue with his door poppers.  He didn't set it up so it's over ridden and can leave the vehicle running to pop the shaved doors open.
