In October 2008, some friends took theyre ex beetle cup for a test day on the well known Francorchamp race track.
I thought I lost the video, but finally found it on the HD of my camera.

It's a full on race car, with 944 turbo brakes, 944 turbo backand front end, 915 (not sure) gearbox, full cage, 2.4l type 4 built by Wheithal in germany, 17 inch slicks etc... The top back in the end of the 90 and early 2000!  Cheesy

The passenger seat was barely fixed on the cage on moved back and forth while braking or accelerating   Grin Shocked Roll Eyes But I really had a blast!  Cheesy
The Escort Mexico was the only car that passed us. But tires were 6 years old and the engine not in good shape!

Very cool... thanks for sharing. I'd much rather see stuff like this than useless rusted out hoodride ghetto clapped out VWs. At least these types of cars actually serve a purpose. l

My be shakey if it's a lipstick camera attached to the side of the helmet.
Please post more video links of VW's set up for the track.
I like to be impressed by VWs cornering and stopping too.  Cool
thanks,

If you like fast corners, then check out a good friend of mine, who regulary races hill climbs and slaloms.
