Does anyone know what springs that are originally installed on copm eliminators?
Bought my heads used and thinking of buying new springs(K800) and titanretainers, my springs aren't marked at all.

think beehive, david vizard eng builder, contributing editor, Engine Builder may 2003 article quotes higher rpm, with less springs means more power and reliability.Beehives can get the job done with AT LEAST 25 % less spring pressure..Competion cams article performance product review 2006 also has a few testamonials.Big time engine builder Joe sherman saw as much as 40 hp increase on a 383, valve float from 6700 to 7500 rpm, w/ 50- 75 lbs less tension. These articles are old, Alot more research with spring size choices out there now . Contact don at R & d spring, hesperia cal. Joel mohr is a beliiever. My new baja motor has them and will be dynoed soon. When my street car comes apart again, It will get them as I have 630 lift, been through a few spring sets already.Soon to be on build sheet for ken taber, 2 Big race motors with them.. bill
