hola amigos!

i'm planning to rebuild my 2054CC but i want to make some changes. im actually using the engle w125 whit 1:25 rokers so here is my question:

wish cam can i use instead of the w125?

these are the parts of my 2054CC:

48 idas
041's "D" ported heads whit 40x35 valves, dual springs and 9.5 to 1 compression
kennedy stage 1
daiken plate
straight cut's
30mm shadeck pump
1 3/4 headers whit a magnaflow

thanks for your help friends!

why do you want to change from 125?
The Pauter R6E8 in my 2165 is docile, yet fierce above 3800 to just under 7000. I run it with Scat 1.25

A better thing to do is upgrade your heads.  By increasing to a 42mm valve, you'll make way more hp than any cam change.

And reduce the header to a 1 5/8"
I prefer the Scat C45 over the Engle 125. As much or even more power (at least torque) and more quiet running. But it depends on what youre looking to improove.

o.k. i like a lot the w125 cam but like i said, i'm disaselmbling my engine so if there is a beter cam to use in my engine is fine!

the pauter cam that "the other one" said sounds good, but where can i buy that cam? because i went to the pauter site and can't find it.....

hey bruce are you talking about made my heads 42x37? but those valves will work whit my "drive to the shows-thursday night dragstrip" vw cruiser?

yep, i was tinking about the size of my headers torben...thanks for the advise amigo! and...............definetly you tink that the c45 works better than the w125? remenber that i want to keep my 1:25 rokers!

gracias.............

I ran a W130 and stock rockers decades ago in a similar motor (ex DKP) no complaints, period.  (Except from the losers behind me)

yes.  your cam is already a pretty big cam, you wouldn't want to bigger with your small heads.  Bigger heads is what you need.
A smaller exhaust too.

Sorry I didn't answer your PM Luis, been busy!!
I agree the exhaust is too big, you're loosing some torque there. I've never ran the 125, but for your combo it looks right to me Wink

yep i like it too but i want to go "old school"  Cool in fact i'm going to change the hole look of mi engine  Smiley

thats why im going to sell the headers and the muffler. the thing is that both (muffler and headers) are big flange  Undecided and as you amigos said, it will be better if i use 1 5/8 headers, right?

right know here is how it looks my engine:

but its been a lot of years whit the same look, i want a change!  Undecided

saludos amigos!
