If I was to build a cage for dragracing a beetle in official series, what are the requirements.
I know you can get a cage inspected by the msa in england. Can you run it all over europe then and what are the requirements.
Are there other countries where a homebuild cage can easily be certified? specs?

So I'm thinking about
Material
Minimal Pipe diameter for main hoop, door bars,...
Minimal waal thikness
mounting points, how many, what size plates?
Seat mounting on the cage.
Special requirements when a passager is along for the ride.

All links and and pounters are welcome

I'm just finishing off my cage & the msa book was a great help, well worth a read.
Tube requirements are all specified in both CDS & cromolly with diagrams.
I bought my material from Houser race cars & they could'nt have been more helpfull Cool
Cheers,
Kev
