hello nico ,
i've dont really work on the car , i was just thinking , thinking to "the way to do it properly",
first i wanted to start by the rear of the car but after a long time off reflection , i realize that it was easier to satrt by the front ,
so i searched how to shape a front beam , and i think to the new front whell arch cause of the cosmic wheels and the disc brakes ...
so i found how to shape a front beam , next week i will buy a used front discbrakes system of" fiat panda "(euro model of fiat) and i will realize a protype to see iff i can turn the whells , after on this proto beam i will install a steering rack but i dont still now the model ....
lot of work in perspective
Maybe you can also check the Fiat 126/127 for suspension, breaking or steering systems, it's more "modern" than the 600 but older than the Panda. Anyway, a custom front end like your pic looks great !

No need to do all the front end work -- just add a few gusssets to firm it up --- I use Fiat 124 front disc's worked perfect -- went to local auto parts store and bought rebuilt calipers and discs -- just needed the brackets and spindles from the 124

First you go in and cut everything out LOL from the square cross support back and then build it as you would a chassis car -- -- We orginally use the stock Fiat IRS swing arms but grafted Vw IRS carriers onto them, they worked until about 250 HP then they bent with the turbo motor. If they had some more bracing added they would of been OK. There are 2 versions of this car the NA and the turbo, with the NA we were able to leave the orginal fire wall in place and with the turbo we built a box inside for the turbo etc. The video below was taken after the conversion to turbo with the interior box.

At about the 18-20 sec mark you can see how we tied into the cage and the suspension. If you don't want to do a cage, I've seen this same thing done with just a bar put in between the rear wheel wells and then the trans hung from that. -- The Fiat unibody is quite strong and sturdy, we didn't have any problems attaching or welding to any point on the chasis

hy guys ,
I' m really happy that my project interrested you . For me it 's like good vibes to continue my project ...
so fisrt i answer to Nico86
After many search on the net ,i notice that many model of fiat has the same braking system so you have the fiat 600,126, 124 ,panda , uno and many others "euro" models , they just have some small differences on the fixation ...
i just want to stop correctly my car ........
then for fiat dude ,
for front beam i want to adapt some coilover (dont know if you say that in english ) for adjusting the front off the car , i have some vintage wheels and i have the cosmic wheels , so its just for look and also for car control and in my case i have car control every two years and i want to have rake with my cosmics i dont know if its clear if its not i will ty to explain again ....sorry for my english , but the forum is good for him......
next for fabs .....
for the case i buy a vw transaxle cross in ninove this year and i will realise a adaptation on the chassis , my gearbox support has not ressemble that of fiat dude because i keep the rear system for the suspension , remenber you that i m assembling just a 1641 so no problem with the future horse powers
hoping to have answering all your questions , thks for your interest
regards

cool project!
If you can adapt any braking system you want, get something that is easily available.
saves you trouble when searching for braking parts
