what should it be ? i have scat 1.25 on a engine that revs to 7k
will standard vw shims fit scat rocker shafts?

There should be a bunch of shims with it. It is a pain in the *ss to shim it correctly, once done on the table and you mount it it CAN differ, so re measure.

I've used one std shim because this was perfect for that amount that needed.

Regarding to 5-6-7-8k or whatever, your play between rocker arm and shim should always be correct no matter what.

Thank s  for that , did you messure the gap with a  feeler gauge? what did you set it at ? or just by feel ?

according to the cb instruction manual it must be set at 0.15mm, i've got them at best 0.10 or 0.15mm. Also note that the rocker arm must be OFF center of your valvestem (with std rockerarm screws), to give it that rotation.
