Filled up my van with diesel yesterday and it was an other £6 on a tank full, what a F**king joke

I'm getting real fed up with being an easy target for raising money for all the low life scum out there that cant be bothered to participate in the real world

My main office is based in Warwick, which is 84 miles away from where i live totalling a 168 mile round trip. I travel most days unless im out with suppliers or at meetings, however its now steadly creeping up to nearly costing me £25 a day in fuel alone!  Roll Eyes  Embarrassed Shocked

I have an Audi A4 S-line 2L, so its not tiny, but its not that huge, its Diesel and i get decent MPG out of it!!

Its getting beyond a joke as i fill up a tank every 3 days !! I sometimes cannot bear to see what a full tank costs, so i put £25 in daily, however i suspect its now around the £75 mark  Angry

£92 to fill up yesterday and I'll get a shade over 500 miles from the tank. I've got to run a large van (vw t5) for work so it a must for me, no option.  I just feel that the small business person / firm are getting their pips really squeezed because we are nailed to the ground and cant dodge the taxes the government see fit to dish out.

Its about time the tax and spend mentality was over. Lips Sealed

When was the last time you guy's put some injector cleaner in you tank ?
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/DUPqrgZdIU8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/DUPqrgZdIU8</a>
I was getting 560 miles on a full tank of £80 , not too bad mpg , put some cheap injector cleaner in the next full tank and went 620 miles  Shocked
Worth the £5 for the cleaner , reccomend doing it every 3000 miles  Wink

best advice, don't fill up.  Less fuel = less weight = better fuel economy.

i put fuel in today £1.17 per litre for diesel.  ASDA.

I can't agree more as our business is to sell and deliver heating oil.  Undecided

With the current prices up, Lot's of people ask us what to do, what will prices trends be in the future, etc etc.
And we just have no ideas of what will happen.

Maybe true, but you can have Condensing and too much moisture in petrol or diesel.

It´s about 0,60 euro/liter for the gas in the US....  by european standards that is dirt cheap.

Compare that to the european prices. It just aint fair at all  Cry

I live in the U.S.A..
A lot of friends and I have been discussing the fuel prices lately.
There is a movement to begin drilling for oil in many locations here.
People feel the prices of gas will go way down since the oil will not have to be shipped from the Middle East.
I cannot picture the oil companies all of a sudden deciding to sell gas here dirt cheap and give up their ungodly profits of the last few years.
I think they will say the need for more refineries, pipelines, trucks, etc.. will keep the prices high if not higher then they are now.
And if the Middle East loses the U.S.A. as a customer, what will happen to gas prices in the rest of the world ?

Got the engine out yet ??

hi ron
engine came out this morning and got it down to rich/martins at lunch time,
fully stripped it down and hopefully just seems like its just the rear main bearing

martin found a few little marks on the pump as well that we are a bit puzzled about

when i took the motor out and pulled off the oil lines they were dry so it did look like it was a air lock in the oil system ,i put it down to my bad in-experince to what happened , i always learn the hard way  Sad
hopefully have it running within a few weeks
apparently glen thinks hes won by default as hes the only 1 running and survived for shaky this weekend  Roll Eyes

i did wonder about going up for the day on sunday and have a nosey round
