Most of you probably seen a pic of my 67 before, but now in the progress of rebuilding it to a real cal-looker.

I made some brackets for mounting the Simca seats I have, they are quite heavily constructed but rather be safe than sorry!

I'm now finished with mounting the seats, I will make some turned aluminium plates to cover the mounts.

Also mounted a double quiet pack again, last year I've fitted a A1 muffler, but I couldn't get used to the looks of it.
I hoped on just bolting it to the car, but this didnt come true... when I mounted it it was rather off centre.  So I cut of the flange and welded
on another bigger one.  Also welded up the holes for the bumper brackets as I won't be using these again.

hi jelle -choice of colour is always pretty hard -i'd use an old vw tone that was available when your car was build or one of porsches -here's a list of porsche paint charts http://www.willhoitautorestoration.com/PaintChart.htm and here http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/colors/colorchrt.cfm you got most of vws.

hi jelle  Car looks Good but You need to heat the bumper at the bottom where it goes under the car it needs to be closer to the car at the top like the one in the picture here on Mark Suiters car needs to be tilted up a bit more!!!  LOL And Fill in those Cut Outs  LOL thats an Order!!!

Or you could tuck it up a bit higher by making small peashooter like cutouts in the rear apron for the bumper. That would look pretty nifty Wink

We Use to mount it just like you have it, then heat it at the bottom and bend it A little closer to the car in the rear  like the pictures show

Shubee, as you can see from the side my merged header and dual quiet pack, come out a little bit at the back.
Therefore I like the way it's mounted now so it "protects" the exhaust a little.

jelle, your back-end is really high it's like there's no engine in there...

p.s. still waiting on that crank?

That's something on the to do list, lower the back 2 or 3 cms and put a limiter strap on!

and yes still waiting...

Had a silly idea this friday and decided it should have a single colour for Bug-In....
So I removed all the decals, and started sanding the car.
It's sanded now and will be painted next weekend!

Picture shows the 67 without decals, and my friend Sams 63 with trim holes welded
