WHAT'S UP WID DA BOOM BOOM???

« on: April 13, 2010, 22:30:17 pm »

Who's got the O.D. of a main venturi for a DRLA 48?  Should it indeed be 48mm?

Thanks y'all.

No, the bore goes from about 46mm to 48mm. I 'll see if I can find any of my old venturies and measure them.

That's a bit of a relief.  I just got a set and they measured a hair under 46mm.

If you can measure one that'd be great.  Thanks John!

Mine seem to average around 45.85. I remember some time back comparing base gasket to top gasket. That's when I noticed they are 46mm at the top and taper to 48mm at the butterfly. My guess is that it's for airspeed.

Getting the time to do the job is a bigger hurdle than scoring the parts!
