60 Ragtop part 2

My name is Pete and I cant make up my mind. My 60 has been thru alot of changes. Newest being cal-look. I'm tired of driving a slammed bug and I needed a little more HP. The 36 was a great little motor but it's being retired. I call it part 2 because i had the 2276 in it a couple years back and ran into some issues. This time I'm setting the car up right. Heres what I started with:

I had a 6" beam with no shocks forever. It was not good at 100+mph. junked it for a cb 2" with Disks all around.



I'm going to run borrowed gasburners untill I get mine redone. More to come on this project as it needs to be on the road to drive from arizona to the Classic in june.

started to tear down motor and found this. Two lifters pitted. motor maybe had 3000 miles on it with proper break in/expensive oil.


my gauge panels all painted up in flintgrey



my rotors powder coated then turned. Thanks Pip for that one.


waiting on some tranny stuff. then motor rebuild starts next week

Don, the temp gauge is stewert warners water temp gauge. I had to take apart gauge and use some thinner on a q-tip to erase the word water from the face. Other then that it they all worked great.
