Hi, a friend of my has a 1955cc.

The specs are:
90,5x76
041 heads with 40x35,5
44 DCNF with 34mm vents
CR is unknown yet, and a Scat C25 cam.
1:1,25 ratio rockers

The heads are off the engine, and we concluded that the CR are too low (1:6,4), so that would be changed, dependent to wich cam we gonna use
Now, the cam is a Scat C25 and that is too mild I think.

Wich cam would you guys use on this engine?

Thanks Zach, but is the W-serie from Engle not a little bit "too old"?

Why not a cam from the VZ or the FK series?

VZ cams are hard on lifter bores and they can't be used with your 1.25:1 rockers. FK cams require an upgrade to 1.4:1 rockers for best performance. So the most inexpensive way to upgrade using the parts your friend has, is using the 120 cam with your 1.25:1 rockers. Combined with the increased compression, he will notice a HUGE power increase over the little C25 in there now. If the heads are ported properly, the engine will make great torque and horsepower up to 7,000 rpm. Hows that for an "old" cam?? Wink

Thanks Zack, thats very interesting information!
"Old cam" is not the good word, but I think you know what I mean Wink

The C25 is about the same as a W100, and thats crazy for a 1955 Huh

Thanks again,

200hp from an 87 METER x 69 METER engine shouldn't be too much to ask for!!!!  Grin
But how the heck he fits it (or his big head) in his car is beyond me.

Jim, there's no substitution for displacement, right? Cheesy
