I understand Sunday's Sacramento Bugorama was huge, especially the swap meet. Dang, I couldn't make it... Some updates:

Rumor has it that Pro Mod (which typically attracts no more than 8 cars) had a fantastic 16+ entries! Eric Calabrese's Red Baron ran 8.26 at 177mph (283km/h!) on Saturday and won the class with an 8.27 at 175. That's totally insane. Here is the YouTube video... Eric is racing against Kris Lauffer of VW Paradise (who posted a best of 8.4 earlier!)

Hector Urias ran 8.86 as well.

DKP pal Allen Wiess won Super Comp (10.90 index):

Insane wheelie by Richie Webb on Saturday (cool looking 356,too!):

What happened to Richies engine in the first round of eliminations on Sunday?  I hope nothing too severe happened.

Allen's, Eric's, and Mike Lawless' cars looked amazing as always-in fact a lot of the cars looked fantastic and I enjoyed watching them go down the track.

Some great racing on sunday, that was the only day we were there. Swap was huge, we were at the top of the hill, at the end of the shut off area. Checked out all of them comming down the run off road. Those pro mods are bad ass.

The Sacramento race marked the beginning of a new era. Not one, but two cars managed to cross the line at over 175 mph and now the race is on for the first 7 second pass. It will not be easy and the distance from a 8.26 to 7.99 is HUGE. Time, money and the willingness to destroy parts will decide who will be the first car to manage a 7.

Funny thing is that before Sacramento I did believe that a 9 second pass was a quick pass... now it is not more than a cruise  Smiley

Alan,

You car sounds great! Well driven too, I like you shifting, not wasting much time there!

I love the understated looks as well, what motor / gearbox combination are you running? as to quote your phrase, it does look like its really motoring!

Top work and keep us posted as I'm sure I'm not the only one here that will be interested to see how you get on

Good Luck and keep up the good work.
