Short story got a call from a mate saying hes just picked up a nice cal look 68 bug, thought nothing of it untill he told me the spec and condition. Left it a week to contact him back but it had already sold pending pick up. Gutted !!! Got a call early this week saying its back up for sale come take a look, well what can I say few alterations to bring it back to standard but its a late lookers dream for me.

Bought it as my daily car ( I dont drive to work ) Got so much History with this car and cant wait to get stuck in...

Empi GTV wheel

2110 makes lots of power above 2k but may need to swap for a less wild 1776 or something.

Anyway plans are just to update it a little but keep it how it was, I will post more photos later and some of all the plack to show its been too.

Hope you like

I think i would just leave it alone, you have a habit of starting something and then selling it!

I personally like the over riders, swap the header to a dual set up and it would look perfect.  Change the cb tower to perhaps berg or csp.  but that's it.  Don't do what i keep doing which is to keep upgrading and upgrading and never get it on the road.  If you wanna loose the over riders, stick them in a box for a while and see how you feel.  Don't flog them. (unless its to me Smiley )

MOT on saturday after that will tune and sort the engine..

Then New carpet and if the budget streches a new LHD Padded dash ( but there is not rush )

The Mrs Really doesnt like the Scat shifter and doesnt want a Berg...So a EMPI EZR shifter will do if i can find one.

ROb

you can get one from here http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx?tabid=54&CategoryID=207&List=0&Level=a&ProductID=491 but they ain't cheap at £336 or http://www.nengun.com/nardi/classic-leather-steering-wheels they sem a bit cheaper or you can keep an eye on Ebay it was with much regret that I sold mine on there a couple of years ago another good alternative would be a 3 spoke formuling france wheel now that would be period perfect for your car
