Doesnt look like a speedwell, only reason i say that is where the spokes hit the wood rim it should taper down at an angle..

Super sexy though

Original FIV Mustang Steering Wheel ( fabrica-internationale-veicolo )
This steering wheel was made in Italy by the same people that made the highly desirable and sought after Shelby Mustang steering wheel. This one was originally sold as an aftermarket wheel and differs from the Shelby in a few ways; it is 15" in diameter (actually metric and about 1/8" short of 15"), the spokes do not have the black tabs as with the '66 Shelby wheels, and has a removable center hub. You can replace the center hub with any of your choice. This will make a great statement on a Mustang and save you many dollars over the Shelby version..

Thanks Tom for the info. Very informative. I'm very impressed. I saw the same Shelby version listed on Ebay for 1700.00   look here:                                                       http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Shelby-16-Wood-Steering-Wheel-1966-Shelby-GT350-/180524675600?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a081bf210
