Sorry, guys... we've been way too busy with life, personal stuff, and everything else to post any updates. The pan is finally painted on the bottom side. We'll get a progress post up soon, I hope.  Thanks for the interest.

I'm looking forward to seeing the body painted and what wheels/tire combo you are going to go with.

Does the rear still have the factory 67 long axles?  What size tires front and rear?  I'm just wondering how its going to look with the stock width beam and dropped spindles as I am also in the process of picking up a 67 beetle and doing the same thing!

Keep up the great work!

Bob has already chosen a color. I'll let him reveal that, since it's his car. Wheels... for the time being, will be first generation Flat Four BRMs with EMPI caps, satin black inserts, and sand blasted finish. Later, probably alloys.

Sorry, guys... Bob's and my lives have been so insanely busy/crazy... there's been almost no time for this. But Bob has the paint already and plans on getting the body sprayed soon. The rest of the car looks great and sitting in his garage. I visited it, the other day.

Hi guy's, Well we finally have the color chosen and sprayed on a sample panel. Nutria Brown, it's really a type 3 color but I'm thinking it's going to look very nice on a 67 bug, I haven' [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] t seen one this color yet so at the very least is will be different. also have completed building the vented deck lid and started preping the body to shoot.

I can't believe that Bob stamped VETO on my suggestion for orange. Oh well.

Just kidding... I'm really stoked to see a sedan painted Nutria.

nutria is probably one of the nicest 'low-key' colors out there. it must be looked at in real life as the light gives it so much different hues.
