So this is where you guys will be meeting every Saturday? You're not going to change up the venues? Doesn't matter to me either way... just curious, Ron. Can't make this one... this weekend's too busy, but will make 'em in the future.

Okay guys we are going to try this again. Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month so we getting together to have Bugs for Breakfast again.
We will be meeting Saturday September 4, 8:30AM at Norm's Famous Charbroiled Burgers 14244 Whittier Blvd Whittier 90605.
We invite and welcome any locals or people in the area to drop by to dine with us, chat and talk about VW's, cars or whatever.
Ron aka Hecker needs some front end work done so we're meeting near my house this time for convenience. We will be heading to my house afterwords around 10AM or so for a workshop session to install his new beam, dropped spindles and brakes.
Again, any members or friends near Whittier tomorrow please stop in.

Okay it's rolled around to the first Saturday of the month again and we're going to meet with our Bugs for Breakfast November 6th at Norm's Famous Charbroiled Burgers 14244 E Whittier Blvd 8:30 AM, cross street is Ocean View. This location was previously Scotty's , once the home of the famous Whittier Blvd cruises.
I will be there and have a few guys including Mark R. confirmed as going. All are welcome to come eat, chat and BS about VW's etc. The weather should be great so look forward to seeing all.

Very cool... used to love Scotty's, if it's the same place that I remember from cruising Whittier Blvd. I hope to make this, but my schedule will dictate that.

Sorry I won't make this one, I have to go to Puerto Rico, & then go on a 7 day
cruise. I'll be thinking of you guys while I dodge the thunder & tropical storms.
They are threatening a hurricane warning, oh well the worst day on a cruise is
pretty much better than the best of anything else. Mark/Fred you need to be there!!
Your homeboy is driving a long way to get there.  Grin

Bon Voyage Hecker, have a good time rain or shine.
Seems if a breakfast meeting was something of a good idea. There is a new conflicting event shown on TheSamba called The VW Autofahrer, planned to be held every first Saturday of the month year round. For you guys closer to Irvine or Tom's Farm it would be a good gig, but it's a little too far for me. Hope that works out on that end.
I would still like to see Bugs for Breakfast come off on a regular basis too, but my schedule has me working every other Saturday so we'll see. I had to work last month and nothing got organized. I know Whittier area is old stomping ground for few of use here and is centrally located. I hope the venue suits and draws a crowd, whether I can make it or not.
This week I'm having Pancakes, hope to see ya there Cool

Today was by far the biggest and best turn-out we've had thus far at a Bugs for Breakfast gathering. If i counted right there were 11 AC vehicles including one KG and one Type II, 12 if you count the Harley. Can't thank or say enough about the great group of people who brought along their cars to come out for breakfast and a little show and tell. So many new names I'm still trying to remember! I sure hope all had as great a time as I did. Thanks for recording it in pictures too Mark, your photos are far better than mine and give a good overview of the event.
Much thanks for the success go to Mark Ramirez for putting out the e-mails and PMs to a "few" friends and Deeks Cheesy. He get's the long haul award too for making the morning drive from Temecula to attend.
And wow Kaferdog, what did you have to eat, one of those awesome Chorizo Burritos?! Talk about energy!
Hope to see you all and more next month. Check your calenders for the first Saturday AM in December now!

Randy, you're going to run an electric fuel pump on the new engine? Sure looks good!

With these few days off I just wanted to remind everyone that the next time we'll be getting together for a B4B event is coming up Saturday, December the 4th.
For the sake of breathing room and parking, I'm going to suggest we move it just four blocks east down Whittier Blvd to Ruby's Diner. Their Whittier location is at 10109 Whitwood Dr, Whittier 90603. It's located within a mall parking lot, but it is offset and there is still a wide expanse of parking. The restaurant features lots good food, service, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Lets wish for good weather!
Hope to see a few of you there.
Cheers for now, Bruce

Yes. There is indoor seating with a row of picture windows overlooking the parking. If the weather is good there are also about four or five tables outside on the patio adjacent to the parking.
No fears! We'll post a sentry if we have to Cheesy
