My experience with  link pin beams is that they have a much better ride quality when they are working right. And shocks are EVERYTHING!

There's a brand of shock called Nakata. They have a soft bump and a slightly stiffer rebound. This make for superb ride quality. They are standard oil shocks. Virtually any gas shock will be too stiff. There's just not enough weight up front. Having a spare in the tire well helps a bunch too!

I would say either the Nakata's or a well worn pair of stockers.

Both my Ghias had a 2" narrowed beam, and both had a very nice ride. The convertible street car had a very nice ride quality with the nakata shocks

Tanks for all the advice guys , all taken on board .
I've taken 3" outta the beam to allow for the CSP's & to get the flat4's just inside the lip to prevent fat bloke cornering  Wink
I'm gonna have a dig out as I'm sure I've got a pair of worn shocks some place , but I will see if I can find some of those Nakata's too Mike .
Yes I've tipped the sway away's back by about 40 degrees Lee coz of the dropped spindles , I've dropped it back down since I saw you , I'll have a play around with adjustment just in case your right .

 I got a bit creative with the A arms and took out 54mm from each hub , re-positioned them then strengthened em , sourced some short sway away axles and hey presto  Smiley
Did all this to take my 6" centerlines so that when I bog down nothing rubs or fouls .
To run the 6" flat4's found out that this was a bit too much so I snuck in a 12mm spacer .
Only prob now is the spring plate rubs on the shock / body mount a tad " hence the annoying squeak" should be an easy fix though .
on top of that I squeezed in some 65 type 3 rear drums , don't do anything the easy way me  Grin

Things move on Kev & yes there's always a plan , had a few sniffs but it's still here , will pop the motor back in in time for next season over the winter , may keep it yet who knows  Roll Eyes
