Hi everybody,

we bought a car for a customer who wants to have it stock (yes, there are people like that!). Now he is getting a 1600 cc engine and the 2276 cc is for sale.
The motor was in a Beetle vert that covered a bit over 1500 miles (around 2500 Kilometer) since completion.

Case: AS 21 VW case, clearanced, full flowed, center main shuffle pinned, 10 mm CB Chromoly studs, machined sand seal, full balanced by Rimco
Crank: CB Performance 82mm, 4340 Forged, nitraded, counterweighted, 8-doweled, balanced
Rods: Scat, 5.5 inch, H-beam, ARP 2000 bolts
Pistons: Mahle 94 mm, full set Total Seal rings
Cam: Engle FK-8, .534-inch lift, 298’ duration, stroker clearanced
Heads: Scat D-port, ported by Performance Technology, dual springs w/chromoly retainers, stainless steel 40 mm intake x 35.5 mm exhaust valves.
Rockers: Pauter 1:1.4
Compression Ratio: 9.5:1
Ignition: Bosch 009 w/Compufire electronic module, Bosch plug wires & super blue coil
Spark Plugs: Bosch W8AC
Carburetion: dual Weber 48 IDF’s, CB linkage
Intake Manifolds: CB Performance offset, match ported
Exhaust System: 1 ¾-inch A-1 Sidewinder
Flywheel: German 200 mm, 12 lb, Berg chromoly gland nut
Clutch: KEP 1700lb, Centerforce dual friction disk, German TO bearing

Special Modifications: Painted German tin, braided fuel & oil lines with AN fittings, chrome 75 amp alternator, CB straight cut cam gears, Berg equalizer pulley, full balanced, polish and paint detail , CB steel on steel straight cut cam gears, CB Performance lightweight racing lifters, Manton Chromoly push rods, CB Performance flanged push rod tubes, Combustion chamber port work, unshrouded valves by Performance Technology, Empi tall bolt on valve covers, Gene Berg 30 mm H.D. blueprinted oil pump with pressure relief cover, Gene Berg 1 ½ qt oil sump, Gene Berg H.D. fully welded doghouse fan

Price: A very reasonable 6700 Euro - just hook it up and go!

Ask for shipping cost - engine is located in the south east of Germany but can be picked up close to Strasbourg/France or Luxembourg/Belgium (Trier/Bitburg area) with just a little extra charge of 50 Euro. Engine can be shipped world wide with UPS, Schenker or what ever...
