my new REPRO GB  was not so good after all the slick lost the grip on the GB and i went into the field next to the road

but it was to soft and the car rolled 8 times and it was 3½meters in the air

when i happent i was going 150kmh

was just finishing and 201meters drag racing solo run

i am glad for my rollbar and helmet and my simsons H belt

i cut walk away from the car

Best regards

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Cheesus man!! Hope you are okay?
What happened to the slicks? Is the repro GB's made with the right dimensions where the tire sits??

I need a roll bar for sure!!

 Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed  Lips Sealed

Thomas, first of I`m very glad that you`re OK and I hope that you will be back on the track soon!

This is for sure not what I wanted to see so close to the season start!.... I noticed that you where not using soap because you did not want the tire to slip on the rim.
Is it so that all slicks, DOT or not, needs to be screwed to the rim? Someone told me that they where using glue instead of soap when they installed their slicks..After seeing your car I`m for sure going to use whatever it takes to make sure that my DOT`s do not get loose!

Again, glad your OK Thomas!

Good you are okay..... Sorry for your loss...., but its just a car.

To the rest of you guys out there, driving like hell, in 40-50 years old car. Please re-think your need for a rollcage!

And its a reason why the rules say bolt your slicks to the rims, with minimum 8 bolts each side...

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Cry Cry Cry

Holy cow!!!  Man, count your blessings! Glad to hear that you walked out ok. Rollin' 8 times... man, that's a helluva trip to make!

Hope to see you in the saddle soon again though!

Makes one want to reconsider the use of a roll-cage/bar for sure.

Best wishes on a "speedy" recovery.  Wink

Seems like you're OK Thomas, that's the most important. It's just a car, but a big loss though.

Keep it up....
