Hi, I have manifolds for the 356/912 carbs and I was wondering if the footprint is the same as a weber 40mm idf carb...

Or do I need to buy another set of manifolds?

thx,

Dem

You need new manifolds. There are adaptors available, if you can track them down...

Keith, I think you're referring to IDAs.
I've seen manifolds that take the solex 40 P11 and weber IDFs, but the outer stud is in a different position. basically, these manifolds have 6 studs but depending on which carbs you mount you remove 2 of the outer studs.

Nope. See the above post… Wink

I know about those, but presumably Dem doesn't have them…

I'm asking these questions for a friend of mine, later this week I have the idf + solex carbs in my possession and then we will see.
the adaptor kit is maybe more expensive then a pair of new manifolds?  where can I buy this adaptor kit?

thx

Here is a choice for manifolds or adapters. Check with your local BUGPACK Dealer.
