Hey guys,
I recently bought a hurst line lock, and today an adapterkit.
Trouble is, that the vw shop sold me a kit from summit:
this one:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3904/

But it doesnt fit at all Sad
there are no adapters in the summit kit to mount the new brake lines on the solenoid
I think I need 1/8" NPT to 1/8" NPT adapters (on the solenoid),
and 1/8" NPT to M10*1 to the brakes..

Somebody has experience with this? I would like to use the summit kit, because the shows doesnt return bought items...

cheers, Peter

i don't understand why you'd need a 1/8" NPT male to female adapter to fit a male fittings to a female on the line lock. sounds like you wouldn't need an adapter then to me...

anyway, why not make your own brake lines, flare them and use stock fittings on those with 3 adapters for the line lock?

What thread do your brake lines have? m10x1?

I have the adapters from hotrod male 1/8npt to female m10x1. Works great.

If you make new brakelines, why dont you use the M10*1 on the brake side, and the 1/8 ones that fit the T on the other end?
kinda metric to US conversion brakeline.

this way you get one less part that can leak.

hey Dieds,
I would like to use the kit i have, because the shop wont take it back..dont ask me why....
and the brake lines supplied are 1/8 NPT,
but to connect the lines to the solenoid, you need a flared adapter (to seal the lip of the line),
I tried today to connect the lines without flared adapter, and you can tighten the "screw", but the line is not fastened, and not sealing.
to connect the new lines to the brake lines, i need a female 1/8 going into a male M10*1.

Hope its a bit understandable?... Smiley

johnny, csp links never work, unfortunately.
peter, if the lines in the kit are 1/8 NPT they should go right in the line lock. you'd need an M10 adapter for the brake hose going to your front brakes then. and if i am wrong again, i really don't understand  Embarrassed

if i were to install a line lock, i'd do it just like jesse did; use adapter for the line lock and make my won brake lines with the VW "bolts" on the hard brake lines.

Is this what you need, Peter?

Unfortunately I miss my installation instruction for the line lock!
How do i have to install it at the main brake cylinder?

Do I have to seal one front fitting and use the other one for the line lock "IN"?
