Berger, if the current year was 1983, that black K.G. would be considered Cal Look. Only thing I'd change... paint the wheel backgrounds satin black. Good looking car. Dig the retention of the heaters, too.

I believe this belongs to a Bugorama Promotions employee. It parks in the Sacramento pits every year for the past 15 years or so.

I'm not a fan of the later model, huge tail light Ghia's, but I like that orange one above ^.  Very clean lines and the removal of the bumpers and the hidden exhaust (possible turbo?) "works" very well.  Nicely done.  Would like to see more pictures of that car.

shortly to be landing in the uk and hitting the tracks in a couple of months when finished, will be running at bug in, ebi and cal look drag day,  also this will likely be making a odd apearance or 2

being fitted up with a n/a 2387, is running a 002 bus box with berg conversion and has been narrowed to take 205-70-15's

the chassis mods

and the other one (bought through here)

That was a good deal...it just slipped through my hands. It deserves to be completed.

Hey patrick,
i tried to buy it from Rick earlier in the year, but he wouldnt sell overseas at the time, i contacted him in october just for info on how he did the narrowing as i was intending to carry this out to another lowlite i own, however i couldnt believe my luck when he said he still had it!  a deal was done for a very reasonable sum and it docked here in the uk 27th december,  should collect it next week,  it shipped with some race trim seats inside it and as soon as it gets here it will be going in to have a few areas of paint ammended and then the cage and re-trim!  engine is being freshened at the moment and the ida's have just been vapour blasted, fine glass bead blasted, fuel bowls opened out and are just having the 3rd progression holes drilled and float levels set before fitting to the motor.  motor is having a fk89 fitted, compression up to 10.5:1 and is running comp eliminator heads.

Yup...the Karmann Ghetto is my Pro Gas Lowlight. If I can afford some paint, I may make it look pretty for the new year....maybe.
