Howdy,

We will be driving through Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway on the way to SCC. I am looking for the average pertrol/gas prices for each country ? but Google seems to come up with ZERO. I am also trying to find anywhere that i can fill up with LPG ?

Our ferry goes from Holland so we will fill up there, and then gets into Rotterdam. I think we will get 200 miles before we will need to fill up again and i would prefer to fill up with LPG if possible.

Any information would be greatfully recieved!

Thanks

Hi Adele, if I were to advise: don't fill up in Holland. I'm willing to bet we have the most expensive petrol in the EU!
Euro 95 is around 1.50 EUR if you're off the motorway and 1.60 on the motorway. LPG should be around 67 euro cents (just checked online).
Oh and don't take the route Jeremy Clarkson took in the MacLaren SLR, he took the long way yet he managed to win the race to Norway Wink
Take the A1 to Germany instead and cross our border at Enschede.

The best statistics I know of when it comes to petrol and LPG prices in the EU is here: http://ec.europa.eu/energy/observatory/oil/bulletin_en.htm

In short, Germany and Sweden is the "cheapest" countries to buy petrol in.

Prices per litre:

Sweden - 1.36 euro
Germany - 1.38 euro
Denmark 1.44 euro
Netherlands 1.49
UK - 1.41 euro

You can expect Norway to be - in general - the most expensive on petrol, and possibly LPG aswell.

LPG is 0.68 euro in the Netherlands, and 0.62 in Germany, according to the EU bulletin link above.

And by the way, Statoil Gardermoen sells LPG and you can quite easily find it in Oslo aswell. I don't know what the price is though.

All this being said, prices on petrol are subject to local competition/price wars, and that will turn things around. You might find the cheapest petrol in the most expensive country, so the best thing is to be on the lookout.
