Does anyone know if Bosch number 0221122001 (or Mercedes 0001582803) will work with MSD 6A?

A couple years my Blaster 2 started leaking so I put on a used  stock VW/Bosch black coil with my MSD 6AL for 6 months. I figured it would only last a little while until I got another MSD coil but it "worked".

I know a Blaster doesn't work on an 010 with points!

                                                           It will work fine, Jim.

You can also run this trouble free, if you run a ballast resistor in line.

I figured that was the issue. We had a blue coil in stock, so we swapped it in and everything was humky dory.
