A quote from Tor Øyvind Skinne from www.ultimateaircooled.com

Hi.

Managed a new personal best for the car this weekend. did a series of 8.77, 8, 74, 8,80 and the best time of 8.69. which was set in the eliminations.
The 60ft times where down all weekend due to wheelspin, and was only 1.36. (The 60ft on the 8.71 run earlier this year was 1.25....)
Best speed was on the 8.77 run at 267.6km/h /166mph

Came in 3rd place at in Top Sportsman.

Looking forward to SCC in just 11 days!

Tor Øyvind Skinne

FYI: the cars has still massive wheelspin at the start. The wheel speed is maxed at only ~2meters after the start..
The job ahead is to finetune the launch so that the cars can yet again do the 1.25 60 feet times it had earlier. (and not 1.35`s)

This will be a balance act between rpm - HP delivered - tirepressure-clutch.

If somebody is good with the calculator it is possible to see the potentional in this car.. :
0.1 sec better 60 feet times will result in xx better 1/4 times - 8.60 = fast   Roll Eyes

Wheelspin? What wheelspin;   Smiley

Get the 1.25 again and you will have a low 8 second run within reach.
