Well i thaught it would get me going to Finnish my long term Project.

So heres the thread..

bad pic but you get the gist

Ill start at the begining i supose so of come the Og floor pants which where not in the best state, and thank you mattp from my club and of here now for your loverly welds Wink  and thank you rod for coming round to perv on my mum

anyway got my hearts fully painted you can see the colour of the car better aswell

Finding the old spot welds THEY THEY ARE

Had to decide on the front beam, baught a loverly Tidders beam for her , but after going to cali on a shopping trip i coudnlt help myself into buying a nice Billet ally beam  Cheesy  Going to narrow and weld the towers on further in, very easy with such a beam.  Cheesy

so my tidders beam will be for sale if anybody wants it

Baught 2 cause me greedy and ones is of to Tom berg in norway

heres the clamps to get the beam on  the frame head , baught from darren dilley whos on the 56 vanilla rag top in this months Ultra. top guy

ll do a moc up on the floors with the Ron Lumus 1 inch tranny lift 2mow to make sure i have got to do any mods.

how shit the new pans are ( just couldnt get holf of any NOS ones)

let the performance begin

out she goes

space

i have to accept they aint perfect form as the OG ones, but for what i need it for they are fine

Rather than tell you all my plans, ill just go through it as and when things arive and unravel.

I will have a look how much i want for it.

I am rubbing down the floors , ready for the final coat of paint. so they bling, need to finnish this the cold weather doesnt make me wanna do it.

Right then Before i paint the floors etc just need to mock up a few things.

You can see from the photo that the RLR raise kit has the inch over the Berg mount.Fantastic welds on the RLR kit.

and you can see the mid mount, slides over the rear arms ! chunky mo fo aint it

and then the front mount, all is perfect. Just need to grab the box to make sure it is as good as it looks.

Cant help but some of my babies unrapped

Choice of rims for my project started of on Ercos, so i baught a full set, then i fancied Centrelines so i baught a set.

I had a large shipment of sprintstars come in so i kept one for myself as a spare and had it rerimmed.

but then i feel i love with ET mags ands the crestlines of this world

SOOOoo ill keep all of them.

Ercos. full slicks all round
Centrelines. 135s up front and street DOT slicks
Et mags full grip street tyres

wll grab some pics of the ercos

and centerlines

This was my Transwest Box i was going to use with the Ron lumus Lift kit

Right to make sure this engine goes forward will be my tranny

Heavily gusseted Box from Transwest in the states, ive got the Gear ratios here somewhere but ill put em up when i can.

and it all nice and snug in my garage

Progress with the type 1 box,
Ok progress

Took the Og studds out to replace with longer ones for the mid mount.

Nice and snug

As you can see it clearly wont fit with out removing metal from the back, so temp cut out and will make it nice and lush so you wouldnt know it has been raised

as you can see the shift rod ( needs a new ) needs to have a notch cut out of the metal above it, will be nice and neat aswell

so all mocked up will finnish it up during the week  Cheesy

Not useing this anymore so this has gone to a good friend with a 2332 EFI buggy

New gearbox picked up a built 091 mo fo with MSE set up from marco ( shifter and Rods on there way from mr Lumus )

going to detail it just a tad

No updates on the work , i am waiting for loads of parts to come out of customs.

Waiting for Marco to get me the Mounts for my new box and Ron lumus to ship me my new shifter and Rods.

How ever
the rear and front Disc are here

Most of the fitting gear

and my line lock and staging brake , which will need some sort of lock so you cant pull it back while drivng
