Word out of Sacramento this evening, is that Kris Lauffer (Pro-Mod) just went 186mph in the 1/4-mile. Back up run was 180.... so far. Best ET so far was 8.13.  Shocked

Same car its now got a wrap with a big gorilla on the side. The race for the first 7 between Hater Maker and the Red Baron is the best thing to ever happen in VW drag racing.

We reset both the A/S & A/SX records on Friday night. Yes we were light on the 8.06 pass with the street car engine so it did not count for PRA. We did not account for the weight difference between the two engines and never crossed the scales until after the run.

It's still a VW Beetle with opening doors and a flat four in the right place - that's good enough for me! Congrats to you all. Smiley

WOW!!!  I can't believe the track allows guys to stand in front of cars doing their burnouts!  That could have turned very ugly fast.  As it was whoever that was almost got their toes run over.

Kris & Jason,

Congratulations! After watching you guys progress over the years, I knew it was just a matter of time.  You could tell the HP was there at the Bug-In this year. I commented to a friend that if you ever got the power to the ground, you'd set new records.  The amount of weight you have on the front end has got to tell a story. I can only imagine now that transfers to the rear wheels to help you leverage your hook up. WOW!  What an incredible accomplishment in the short time you've been at it with the sedan!
