i have got a nice box full off very nice goodies!!!! in the box were: - one set off 42DCNF berg specials with short berg manifolds (very clean carbs, only the pivotarms were bent, but shafts and carbs are straight and all nice. cleaned them up roughly and they will come out very nice) the manifolds will need a bit more work to be cleaned, but again nothing major. these babies are almost bolt-ons. - one CSP linkage for porschecooling - one set off filters (these CAN'T come from Arizona, as they are clogged with dirt and mud. these are going to be soaked for days i guess - one workshop manual/book for type3 with the best cover a book could have (i'll post a pic later) and this was a very nice gift as well. all thanks to Zach, i told him to ship his stock to europe, that way it would be easier to go through it.  The pivot arms got bent?! On the carbs, or do you mean the linkage rods from the bell crank to the carbs?? Post a pic please, if you could. Those filters did come from AZ... my friend borrowed the car for a year while I was away at school, and I'm afraid he didn't take much care of it  They will clean up easy though with some degreaser and a hose. I thought you might like that book  It used to be my fathers. Makes you want to get a Formula Vee car and a bunch of vintage race stickers |

the linkage rods. the shafts are perfect. i put on some white grease and all works perfect. the linkage rods interfered with the carb and i guess they were switched or bent after they got off the car (maybe transport) however no big worries, it all can be fixed. and one is allready cleaned up and working fine. as for your friend, never give him the keys off the GTV, he'll turn it into a baja. i always try to handle things on loan better then my own stuff. but the filters are taking up swimming lessons as we speak. and yes the book, awesome drawing that makes you dream. maybe not all dream, but we'll see how everyting works out. many thanks for that extra one and also for the special coolingtrim for the carbs. |

Yes the cooling tins... I forgot to mark those, but they are (at least they were on my motor) side specific. You should be able to tell which one goes where though, they fit very tightly Good to see they will be taken care of. I always loved those carbs on my 1776. It drove like a dream |

I got my 1970 Volkswagen Formula Vee steering wheel. No, you can't see it, yet. It's haggard and needs much restoration. But it was cheap and I fancy a challenge.

I almost forgot to mention this little beauty! I CAN NOT BELIEVE I FOUND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I already had one of these COOL Race Trim Air boxes for "off roading" and I paid SILLY money for it a while back (black one) And then late last night before I went to bed I thought " I'll have a quick look on ebay" then about an hour later I found THIS! (grey one) a second race trim air box! it wasn't listed very well so at about 5pm today I won it for a grand total $38.00 Now I have a pair for my new dual carb set up - HOW COOL!? |
