nice tyres. do you run 195/65/15 now as well?

Yes, but they are Michelins.  I believe the Perellis have firmer side walls than the Michelins.  I like the size.  I am not a big fan of over tall or fat tires although I am probably in the minority.  When I first put the car together I had 185/70s but have been unable to locate any at a decent price.

You can get Vredestein's at a reasonable price (also matching 155's), but they look like they came off a tractor.

i beg to differ. vredesteins look very very cool. i run them and they are great. i can't wait to wear out the fronts to buy a set off 155's to match. and maybe not the best reference but Dave Rhoads has vredesteins  Grin 185/70 btw

Vredesteins Sprint Classic are good tires, I ran 155R15 + 185R15 during 3 years the driving is nice with it and they look great. I'm now changing for Michelins XZX but I'm keeping my Vredestein set in case of new project or new wheels.

Yeah, Fabian... I'm going to have to side with Nicolas on this one. I didn't realize that there were other brands besides Nikon. Strange.

For all of you here who are unfamiliar with JC Whitney, suffice it to say that they were the Holy Grail when I was a teenager.  Getting the catalog and drooling over all the goodies was a favorite pastime of us dreamers.  I hadn't seen one of their catalogs in many years when lo and behold, one showed up in the mail box yesterday! There's no junk like JC Whitney junk!  Grin

I went to their 'head office' in Chicago back in 1980 to buy some El Cheapo 87mm cyl & pistons. I checked the box in the store and one of the cylinders had been dropped, putting a large ding in the base of it. It was so out of round, it was untrue. When I pointed it out to the guy behind the counter, all he said was "That won't matter, will it?"... Roll Eyes Grin

You can sit on a gearbox but you can't bolt a sofa under your Bug. Come on, Sarge, get your priorities right. I'm sure Sharon will see the logic here. Cheesy
