I just tried to design an "Inch Pincher" shoe, and had no problems putting that on the heel. There was even enough room to add "Empi Inch" to the left heel, and "Pincher" to the right heel. I couldn't get a darker Empi blue to go along with the orange... Maybe in a different shoe design.

Deano had those pistons and cylinders manufactured in Japan.
The story goes that the Japanese did not respect the copyright laws and that they had sold many sets before Deano even recieved one !
I have five sets of those pistons and all are in DEANO marked boxes.
I wonder if the set Fabian bought was one of the "illegal" sets, since the box has no mention of DEANO ?
 Huh

Yes, but the point was that it doesn't say DEANO or DDS anywhere on the box.

Yes, late model on the Deano 92s, but even later on, NPR drove the knife into Dean and Ken a little deeper by milling off "Deano" on the inside of the piston mold! The box shown above was near the end of the battle... 1975ish. The reason you found those 40hp stroke pistons still around was that they didn't sell at all back then. DDS worked with Joe Horvath on the original setup, and it was Joe who felt that there would be a strong market for the smaller pin diameter.... Wrong. Just some of the gossip I have uncovered these past few months...
