Finally Got My Rear Apron Today I was A Bit Worried about the Quality this is the Pre 55 Rear Apron Sold on Samba by the KDF Company In Poland I Guess I was The Ginny Pig Here since no One that I could Find has ever Bought one from Him Well The Quality is Very Nice considering its A Re pop Part and The Price was Way Better then Wolf and it dose come Complete with all the Seal Tracks I know Dave Was Wondering about the Quality I am Happy with Mine     http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=848613

Looks good from my house Gary Grin

Now that you have taken on the role of Guinea Pig, please let me know your thoughts on thickness of metal and fit and finish once installed. If that apron and a KCW repop W Vert decklid would work well together, I'd be a happy guy.

Got my Schadeck plugged for full flow 26mm oil pump a week ago Saturday, and yesterday received a new 1-4" range depth micrometer.

In the "return" pile, I have to send back a Scat (Part no. 60025) chromoly gland nut because the shop I bought it from said it was 36mm... turns out it's 38mm, or 1-1/2-inch.  I wanted a 36mm gland nut so I could use my torque tool in getting it torqued down, now I gots to return it. :-(

Shoulda held off and bought the new Bugpack 36mm chromo gland nut, but I took these Portland, Oregon guys at their word.

Hi Dave The Thickness is the same as VW German it fits great my only complaint is when they spotweld the decklid seal track on it makes it a little wavy from the spot weld  easy fix though nothing a metal file wont cure lol  I am Also using  A Modified KSR Deck Vert Lid  Grin Grin

Out of stock? Ya, I would call myself to see, you never know. I was there a couple of weeks ago to get there pully bolt W/washers, no problem, got'em. Talk to Tim or Alister, they have a new girl working there now in the office, she's nice, but don't go through her. Hear from the horses mouth. Wink

Bug-In #1 Best of Show trophy !
It has plaques for multiple winners from 1968-1975 !
Sadly, the two VW Beetle trophy toppers on each side were broken, but luckily I bought 3 NOS ones from a trophy shop back in the mid 1980's !

This is a good time to toot the horn for Dennis, a Baja 500 racer, ace VW mechanic, NBVA member and all around nice guy.

So, it appears that the last time that award was handed out was 1974? Or at least, the last time it was engraved? Makes sense as I do not recall it coming out after that time. Individual World's Most Beautiful Trophies came out after that. Maybe?
