Ohhh man! Did I get an awesome package in the mail recently, which travelled thousands of miles before arriving on my doorstep.

My daughters were very curious to know what was contained inside the heavy box which was covered with postage stamps from a land far away. To their delight, they found it filled with personalized Aussie trinkets and sweets that they quickly dug into.

I discovered that the parcel contained plenty of rasberry Redskins for me, as well as an unexpected/incredible surprise - not just license plates from VIC, NSW, and CAN, but the  White Knuckle Ride plates off of a famous VW racer from NSW, as well as framed action photos to go with. These will soon hang in a special spot in my garage!

Thanks a ton, Greg - it was worth the wait and then some!

This came a while ago but it still came in the mail...

I have only seen one other one like it, so if you can shed any light on it that would be swell.

I didn't feel right about it to hack on it so that it would fit the dash of my '73 super, so I sold it to a friend.

The other day I did get a set of these...

Tims Stage 2's for my upcoming 2332.... Grin

The 150 mile per hour speedo was sold through Johnny's Speed and Chrome for sure in the '80s... I've got an old catalog that has it in their pages.  The Garf's Rag drag Bug for sale in Grants Pass has one of those in it... I've still got that car in my sights, as it's one of my favorite old '80s Oregon drag cars... first one I ever saw at the 1989 Oregon Bug In.

My Italian 48 IDA's arrived today.  Can't wait to get them cleaned up and fitted.  My 44idfs are working great, but opening these and seeing them in the flesh they are a whole different ball game.
