This full story is still unfolding. Until Darrell Vittone can see it, and remember exact what happen to this door, we will have to wait.

it started off more like a challenge on the 21st April, i was bored at work and wondered if these guys can make anything, never thought they would manage to do it, 1 month later they came up with the actual item and a week later shipped to my friend's house!

been wanting a correct looking vert lid for years, nobody makes repros for 58-67.

Wow,
What's the price on the 58-63 vert lid? Steel or fibreglass?

There are a couple of people making vert lids from real VW steel lids for all years by stamping out the vents, one is in Sweden & I think the other is in Germany, checked them both out and look real good

they are steel.  i havent seen them in person as i got them shipped to my friend's house since my home is always empty and i work out of the country.

my friend commented the holes were a bit "rough" and everything was hand made.

they are made by the same guys who made those stainless steel bumpers in Vietnam.

I got in a new plate frame today. I'm gonna run it on my car to pay homage if you will to one of my favorite cars of all time.

I got a Thunderbird 36hp header and quiet pack muffler, brand new in the box from the 80's. It even has the original hardware kit! It has nice thick flanges and seems A lot better built than a lot of what is availible today.

Upgrade to my Bug-Tech Custom shifter.
New spun Aluminium shift knob with button and custom hollow shaft and extension to hide the wire. Very exited to get this fitted.
