That's because eBay secretly stands for EVIL BAY. Or deeper still, EXPENSIVE BAY. Sorry... can't stand that place. Nice score, by the way.

I thought the same thing for years... I finally logged on in December of '04 because there was a set of Cosmic wheels that I needed to have. That transaction went smoothly, and since then most of the rest have as well. It's not always expensive either... Ive been very lucky a few times with "Buy it now".... a pair of EMPI chrome gas shocks for $65 shipped (later put them back on ebay and they sold for $362), and the EMPI GT wheel that is on my car now for $225 shipped. There are great deals to be found, you just have to keep your eyes open. I for one, couldnt live without it Smiley

i gotta agree with you Zach,   for us european guys its a vital source for stuff that we just cant find over here. or if you can find it it's often at inflated prices, after someone else has bought it over from the states and then put their own mark-up on it.
in over 50 transactions i've only had one go wrong on ebay.
i've been fucked over once on thesamba, and once from someone who participates on this forum  Roll Eyes....in about 10 transactions total.

so for me ebay has been much more dependable.

couldn't agree more jick, i have had over 200 transactions, 1 was bad (not his fault he was welsh), in fact the same guy, bought all my bug-in programs from me at slough, promising that they were for a collection, 2 weeks later they appeared on ebay.  I managed to ruin his auction, they sold for a lot less than he paid.  Not that i'm vindictive!
