Didn't get it in the mail, but from my best friend of 36 years. A set of freshly chromed factory '67 rear overriders.

After attending Cars & Coffee in Irvine, we got a call and was asked to stop by to see him on the way home. Made my weekend.

True... next time I have the car outta the garage, I'll get a better angle. Trust me, they're way different. Thank God I don't have those 90º Brazilian ones any longer. Where they meet the bumper looks WAAAY better and correct, now. The car came with two full sets of bumpers. The set that was off of the car was just plated. So, I put that one on after I bought the car. The previous owner thought that the black plastic grommets had to match the back ones, so he added 'em on the front bumper. I was extremely pleased to find out that the front overrider was German and re-plated about a year back when I removed the grommets. Now the exterior is finally done. Next, this week, the exhaust. Can't wait.

I think they look great too!
I managed to get a pair of NOS rails off ebay a few years ago.... the left side still has the VW decal on it albeit a little faded now.
To me, the pre'67 ones just look wrong now....

mate found this for me in a scrap car in japan last Saturday

asked if i am interested in it as he knows i like to collect Hurst shifters, but this have FLAT 4 on the trigger.

This is the second time i see such shifter and to my knowledge, i dont think Flat4 has ever made a shifter like this.....so i agreed to buy it over.....USD65...not a good price over here in this part of the world  Undecided

sent Flat4 an email and got reply from Tajima-San of Flat4 that they DID make the shifter and now parts by EMPI, he said they made it before, not much other details given by them, confusing i know....

will try to post more pics later
