Please drive/bring your VW in a showing of support for Hector and his life.
The truly sad part was this celebration was already planned to celebrate Hector's 48th Birthday.
We will be gathering at Hector's favorite pit spot, at the finish line.

Just a bump to remind everyone of the tribute this Thursday -- There will be a Giant BBQ at Hector's pit so bring a little something for everybody to share.
If you'd care to -- bring a candle to light and hold when they tow Hector's car down the strip

Just Got Back from Hectors Memorial.....
I gotta say there was a massive gathering of family and friends ...I was really impressed with mass of Friends he had touched in his "way to short life"... !!!!....there was food "Non Stop " I didn't know Hector in a personal way but had talked to him a few times ...I just wished I could have talked some more to the man that brought So many people together to celebrate his friendship and also his passing !...overall it was a beautiful gathering and A perfect evening ...I just kept'ed on thinking what a loss this has been for so many people ....I will miss seeing Hector and his lightning fast runs which was one of the highlights of going to all the events that gave us the chance to see him run ....!! I will never forget hearing the phrase so many people were talking about today that Hector was know to say and even had it on his licences plate frame.............

Very well put and I completely agree with your post, Kaferdog. Just walked in the door from that event, as well. VERY impressive amount of people that came out to pay their respects.

Yeah Fred .... I was very impressed..!!! ......Sooo glad I took off work to make this event....I'm glad that Hectors event was first on Ch 9 & 11 news

I would see that as a good thing. Last night was a celebration of life for a Great man who touched the lives of many many people a testament to who he was!
Plenty of photos up on ultimateaircooled I for one would love to see your photography from last night.
