Driving Hot VWs for 44 Years Strong!

Here are a couple more update shots on the metal prep prior to primer on my 67 decklid work.  I took the old 66 apron and deck lid off and converted my Chop back to the correct decklid for the year of the body.  Someone had done a hack job on putting a 66 rear lid on it and I have always been partial to 67s.

We are just about ready for primer and final sanding prior to paint. You'll see in these shots that I used 1/4 pencil rod to re-inforce the radius of the eyebrow opening.  It gives a strong edge and helps hold the shape of the eyebrow like nothing else.  It gives a nice finished edge to the opening.

looking good! I appreciate how much work goes into something like that, mine proved to be a real pain to get right!
