Does anyone know if a berg or anyother mid mount will work on a type 3...?

I have an JKM mid mount installed in my notch:

http://www.jkm-tuning.com/docs/pd-342603069.htm

So a berg piece will even fit.

Have fun,
Felix

You should get one of Danny's. Way nicer than the berg mount

You beat me to it Felix, I was going to also suggest the JKM mid mount. I cannot see why the Berg mount will not fit either.

Both of these items are available here:- http://www.prowagen.com/CHASSIS/View-all-products.html

Cheers,

Lawrence.

it would work on a early type 3, up to 1967 with the swing axel trans because the car has
rear frame horns and 2 rear trans mounts, but the Irs type 3's don't have the frame horns
or rear transmission mounts, just a rear engine mount

Now that`s a good point!
But as I know swingaxle with horns were build up to summer 69...

The stock IRS typ-3 with no frame horns are not really made for performance.
You can convert IRS to IRS with frame horns or buy them...
There are some companys as the bugbox in Weiden which sells them.

Thanks,

There are two 3/16 peice's that are welded to pinch weld flange on frame horns. then holes drilled through for rubber pad. I will have a few done by the week-end if you need one.
